C3PO Golf Club Cover

Here is another addition to the Star Wars Golf Club Covers I have been doing. I did three villains and now I felt it appropriate to do some good guys. Chewbacca was the first one that I did and C3PO was the second. R2D2 will be following up shortly.

First take the standard golf club cover pattern of mine here. Then use the double stitch pattern below to give some life to the character.

Chewbacca Golf Club Cover

Here is another installment of my Star Wars themed golf club covers. This one is styled after the lovable Chewbacca.

I used fun fur as well as the acrylic yarn to get the furry look. Then I simply used blue and black yarn to double stitch in a mouth and eyes.

This club cover is special to me because it was made with vintage yarn from my grandmother. My mom gave me some of her old crochet hooks and knitting needles as well as a few skeins of yarn. I really liked this color brown and I was glad to use some of it for this project. I am keeping this set for myself or for one of my brothers in case they ever decide to start golfing.

Here's the pattern to make this club cover. The only difference is you need to add in the fun fur for the top section where you do knit only rounds. I used blue yarn for his eyes and black for his mouth. Here is the double stitch pattern. It is quite simple but I figured I would include it to make it easier.

Stormtrooper Golf Club Cover

Here is the double stitch pattern for the Stormtrooper gold club cover. This is tweaked from the original one because I didn't really like how it turned out. I may tweak it more once I make more of these.

Star Wars Golf Club Covers

Here is the perfect gift for your favorite golfer this spring. With Mother's Day, Father's Day and Easter all coming up, this is the perfect solution to someone who is difficult to buy for.

These are hand knit with the different character double stitched onto the covers. These are knit out of acrylic yarn which is sturdy enough to be washed after getting dirty out on the golf course.

Check these out at my etsy store!

Boba Fett Golf Club Cover

This is a golf club cover that had duplicate stitching on it to resemble Boba Fett from the Star Wars Trilogy. This cover goes with a set of three I am making including Darth Vader and a stromtrooper. The pattern for the golf club cover.

Golf Club Cover Pattern

**UPDATE: Click here to print this pattern on google docs**

These are pictures of the process I went though to make the golf club covers. Eventually I will post pictures of the final outcome. Eventually I am going to make three of them. I will post the double stitch patterns in order to make these look like a stormtrooper, Boba Fett and Darth Vader. These are a perfect gift for anyone that happens to love Star Wars and golf! Plus they knit up easily. Enjoy!

Golf Club Cover Pattern

Sz 8 circular or double pointed needles (I used double pointed as I thought it was easier)

Cast on number of stitches that are divisible by twelve (I used 36)

Row 1: *K, K, P, P* repeat till end of round

Join round without twisting stitches

Continue with Row 1 until you have 5-6 inches in rib pattern

Row 2: K till end

Continue is Row 2 till you have 4-5 in. I tend to go closer to 5

Decrease Rows:

Row 1: *K 2, K2tg, K 2* repeat till end of round

Row 2: K till end. All even rows are same as Row 2

Row 3: *K 1, K2tg, K2* repeat till end of round

Row 5: *K 1, K2tg, K1* repeat till end of round

Row 7: *K2tg, K 1* repeat till end of round

Row 9: *K2tg* repeat till end of round

Use plastic tapestry needle to take remaining 6 stitches off double pointed needles and tie in ends.
