Knitting on the Beach!
I spent so much of my time on vacation knitting. Between my mom and I, we knit 8 or 9 squares for one baby blanket. I myself knit 3 driver covers for golf clubs and started a new scarf pattern.
Later this week I will try to get the pictures and the patterns up for the driver covers, as they are really cool and I am excited about them.
Here is a picture of one of my squares for the baby blanket sitting in the sand at West Palm Beach in Florida.

R2D2 Hat
This was one of the three R2D2 hats I made for some of the boys I know that are big Star Wars fans. There are a few different ways that you can make a beanie like this. I tried a few different options and will continue to post pictures and methods I used for these hats. This was my first attempt. Although it came out a little bit smaller than I had anticipated it still fit my 10 yr old brother, who loved this.

Barbie Wedding Dress
This Barbie dress was made from a simple acrylic yarn and light pink netting. I just used some of the leftover netting I had from another project. You also could go to Joann's or any store that sells remnants and see if you can find something cheap there.
I knit this dress on my old Barbie Knitting machine but you can also use double pointed needles or circular needles. Just make sure you check your gauge before starting to project.
Gauge: 2 in sq= 12 rows and 7 stitches
To make the veil I took a smaller crochet hook I believe I used size H. Then I just chained a few stitched together and hand sewed on some netting.

Happy Birthday Mom!!
This is what I woke up to on vacation this morning! It is my mom's birthday today and Disney sent her this! Gotta love the magic of Disney :) And the magic of photography because I very carefully hid her age by hiding it behind the Mickey head!
Sadly it's in the forties here. While it beats the twenties back in Michigan, still doesn't quite reach laying out temp. Hopefully it will warm up throughout the week!

Avalanche Knitting!!
Our winter retreat with church, "Avalanche" was amazing! We played fun outdoor games but us girls definitely tried to stay inside where it was warn most of the time. At night I taught Sara, Kristen and Olivia how to knit. These are my little prodigies :) They definitely caught on quick!! I had so much fun teaching them how to do something I love and I hope that they keep doing it!!
